Confirmed from Phil Moore Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Known for its Soap Box Derby track & disc-golf course, this park also offers creek access & trails.
What runners say about Phil Moore Park
“This is a huge and well maintained park.”
“Great dog park! My dog always loves to get some energy out.”
This is my dog and mine's go-to spot on the weekends. Outside of any scheduled events, the park is never crowded. Plus, it is so large and open that there is plenty of room elsewhere. I can take my dog off leash and let him really run without worrying about interfering or being interfered with.
Plenty of spots to go bank fishing at Drake's creek. Don't be fooled, there is some nice sized fish in there. I really like how they keep it mowed on the edge of the tree line.. if you don't fish, I did see some walking trail's. To the people who do maintain this park you do a hella of a job. ✌🏼😎
Nice place, nice people, dog loves it! So far everyone is cleaning up after their dogs. Only issues is that I wish it had some trees for shade. That would be great for our hot Summer days.
This is a huge and well maintained park. It extends along Drake's Creek and has plenty of trails and shady spots to fish and enjoy the peaceful flow of the creek.
Trail conditions & character
“It looked like it has a large dog park area separate from the other park area.”
“The only thing I didn't like was the way the parking was setup for the cross county meet.”
Plan your run at Phil Moore Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
