Confirmed from Romanza Johnson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring picnic areas and creek access, plus swimming and kayaking.
What runners say about Romanza Johnson Park
“Update 11/8/24: park is still clean and they laid new grass seed, which is sprouting now.”
“It's also the takeout for upper Drake's Creek (have to paddle back up Trammel a short distance) very scenic easy float with lots of picture opportunities.”
“Fun little walking path along the creek, quiet, good area for a scenic walk, a family picnic, whatever you choose.”
Update 11/8/24: park is still clean and they laid new grass seed, which is sprouting now. No fish ad the water level here is very low now. There were about 5 or 6 people fishing with no fish to show for it 😢. This is still a great little park on tramnel Creek and when the water gets higher, we'll be back.
I spent way too much time here this summer, this is a hub of kayak activity! It's the take out for Trammel Creek which is an awesome paddle, several small rapids, lots of portaging, and tons of fun.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.

- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
