Confirmed from Phipps Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Phipps Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (123 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“It is a beautiful hike- slightly challenging incline during the first ten minutes or so, then it's all easy after that.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Easy walking, great views, and family friendly!”

The view are spectacular! We went to play disc golf but discovered a beautiful hiking Are with vista views in all directions. Don’t let the elevation scare you, start walking and you’ll be up there in no time. Best disc golf I’ve played, it’s not for sissy City types that need manicured lawns.

What a great place. I got their around 6pm and was able to play a round of frisbee golf before the sun set. The hike up the ridge was exhilarating! A little steep at times but it was all worth it when I got to the top. Hole 18 is awesome. 672’. You throw down off the top of the ridge. Amazing vibes.

This place is great for a quick hike. The disk golf course is unlike anything else around. Watch out for rattlesnakes in the summer months. Scrambling over rocks has brought me too close for comfort with a sunning snake. Stay left when at the start for an easier trail that wraps around the base of the plateau.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
