Confirmed from Rimrock West Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a playground and a paved trail for walking and biking.
What runners say about Rimrock West Park
“It's kind of tucked away but it is a well maintained park when all things are considered.”
Fun playground to bring my toddler. Usually not busy when we come in the mornings, and plenty to keep her interested for the half hour or so we usually spend there. Big green space with a walking/biking path around it. Lots of people walking their dogs
Very nice park, next to a very nice neighborhood, passed several people very very friendly. I was visiting Montana due to my mother being life flighted in. This walk path I did frequent. The tunnel was a bright colorful inspiration.
Great park to get some space, place some baseball, Frisbee or the dogs. Nice play ground, I do not have kids but looks newer. The walk/bike path that borders it is nice kept to Poly Vista Park.
Picked this spot for my U7 soccer practice. The grass area is very large and can hold multiple teams practicing at once. It’s also got a nice walking trail going around the park as well as a nice playground for children to play on. There are a few spots for vehicles to park in actual parking spaces.
Trail conditions & character
“Great place to go for a stroll, power walk, bicycle ride, and or take your dog for a walk.”
“This park could benefit from more benches and porta potties.”
“Fun playground but an even better paved trail to it!”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
