Confirmed from Pickrell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park with an outdoor swimming pool, a basketball court, a playground & picnic facilities.
What runners say about Pickrell Park
“Additionally, they have clean restrooms that are very close to the pavilion area.”
“Beautiful park with lots of mature trees and a variety of play / open areas.”
We had a church ⛪ picnic on Saturday 05/17/25 at Pickerel Park under the pavilion. This is our actual 2nd and or 3rd time at this location. Thier was plenty of room to easily host well over 300 people comfortably and we had a few large fans which kept us somewhat comfortable while dining.
It's a very clean, beautiful park. There's lots of picnic tables. There's a few pavilions for a party. There's a walking path that goes around the park. There's lots of grass to play on. Two playgrounds for your children. There's lots of fun space for everyone and your fur babies to enjoy.
My family and I really enjoyed this park, there's 5 different play areas around the park, pool, basketball courts and trails, also lots of seating and picnic areas. Really nice park, the only downside is since its so close to the airforce base the noise from the jets is so loud it scared the kids a few times.
We visited here for the July 4th festival. We went around midday. The park is very nice and clean. Nice paths.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
