Confirmed from Piedmont Medical Center Trail - North Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved trail alongside the Catawba River with benches for resting.

“The few times I have visited I normally walk to the 1 mile marker turn around then proceed back to my car totaling 2.”
Immaculately maintained paved trail on the Catawba River. Full of twists, turns, bends, river banks, and some wildlife to boot.
This is a very accessible 2.5 mile out and back, for a total of 5 miles. It is a paved path through the woods, and alongside the Catawba river the entire way. It is mostly flat with two or three hills. It is good for walking, running or bikes.
This is an outstanding trail. We have been coming here for what seems like years, but has only been a year or so total. Outstanding views, quiet scenery even during busy times, and outstanding fun for the whole family! If you have not been, make it a point to check it out.
This is one of my favorite trails to walk with my dogs, although it gets a little crowded some days. There's plenty of shade, spots to rest, and one of those little book exchanges at the start of the path.
