Confirmed from Pigeon Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A public beach with wildlife & scenic views sits at the end of this narrow path next to a port.

What runners say about Pigeon Creek Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (51 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Across the bridge and past the shipyard, there you will find Pigeon Creek Trail. Beautifully built for biking and walking, running parallel to the train tracks. Trains come by often and they'll honk for you if you ask them to, which is fun for the kids.

Pigeon Creek Beach is ok. But be very carefull if the tide is out. The ghost shrimp live in the sand and if you walk out there you sink very easily and it is kinda scary. BE CAREFUL THE WALK IS PRETTY BORING AS YOU BASICALLY WALK BETWEEN 2 FENCES AND HAVE A VIEW OF THE LONGSHOREMAN AT WORK

★★★★☆ — Mike , Jun 2021

This trail is long and somewhat time -consuming if you don't have a distinct plan for a hike or walk. Planning an excursion helps to know the start and end times of the journey.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
