Easily my favorite park in West Chicago; probably one of the best-kept secrets of the west suburbs. Long red-gravel trails are excellent for walking/running. There is a decent playground with two play structures, swings, a small splash pad, and ample shade.
It's a really pretty area. The DuPage river is really spectacular. We walked about 3 miles and it was great. See you soon, Pioneer Park!
Pretty park housing 6 baseball/softball fields and adjacent to the West Chicago Community High School Varsity baseball field. There is a small water park area with fountains for the kids to run through. There is also a basketball court.
I stopped here,on my way to Oak Brook for medical reasons, and I was thoroughly impressed with this park.I was able to do a nice long walk,no one made me feel uncomfortable, my vehicle wasn't bothered, facilities were extremely well kept,very welcoming environment.
