Confirmed from Pitt and Sylvan Springs' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pitt and Sylvan Springs

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,150 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Takes a minute to acclimate, the restrooms aren’t clean but given it’s a free entry spring, we overlooked that.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Highly recommend, beautiful place, bring your chairs and canopy as if you get there later you wont have a table, or shade, unless you use a tree.”

June 16th. Parked before bridge in a lot of right. No issues. Maybe half a mile walk from the car to water. No "hiking" involved. Multiple entry points to water. Many folks were on tubes and just floating. The water was pretty cold at first but was a nice refresher from the FL heat.

Pitt spring is a smaller spring, but well worth stopping to visit & take a dip in. Nice clear, cold water. Small parking lot, but luckily it doesn't seem to get too crowded. There are a couple covered picnic tables for lunch if you decide to spend the day.

The Pitt and Sylvan Springs is a wonderful park to visit. If you like to hike but not too far, this park is for you. my wonderful sister and I explored the park starting at the first spring and ended up at the top of a hill looking down where we had just walked.

This place is a hidden gem. I didn’t expect so much but the spring itself is amazing. The water is really clear and emerald blue-ish. I could see fish and turtles swimming in the spring which I enjoyed. When I got there was almost the sunset in March. I wish I could get there earlier on on the day.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
