Confirmed from Plainfield StoryWalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Plainfield StoryWalk
“Great stories along the path, well maintained by the City.”
The Plainfield library has knocked it out of the park, again. The story they have this month, Super Happy Magic Forest is hilarious for all ages. I stopped at each panel and was laughing throughout my walk.
Used this location for a family photo shoot & the wooded area makes a lovely backdrop. There are some trails you can take as you walk through the wooded area and while I didn't have time to fully explore I will definitely check that out at another time.
Nice place to walk your dogs, run, ride bikes, skateboard, rollerblade, or play Pokemon. The bathrooms are only open during warm weather. There are picnic tables under the shelter (next to the bathrooms) and a play area for children.
Great playground for kids. They have a two-person swing, which is something I have never seen before. Nice hiking trail. Also there is a public restroom at the nearby Settler's Park. Great spot to hang out for awhile.
