Confirmed from Riverview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Riverview Park
“This path is beautiful any time of year and perfect if you are looking for a nice, short path to get outdoors and enjoy nature!”
“He recently found this peaceful park in our neighborhood, and it was perfect for walking our dog, who loves exploring new spaces with us.”

My husband is always foraging for new places to go for a hike. He recently found this peaceful park in our neighborhood, and it was perfect for walking our dog, who loves exploring new spaces with us.
This is one of the nicest paved nature paths I’ve found in the Plainfield area. This place is great for a walk or bike ride along wooded paths with views of the Dupage river. There are always plenty of birds and have even seen deer walking through the woods in the morning!
This park offers a nice break from the hussle of downtown plainfield. It has great open grass area for kids and dogs to play. Easy access to the river for fishing or boating. Just a tad over a mile of paved walking path which is surrounded by plenty of trees and Sawgrass to help really drown out the rest of the world
This is a beautiful walk!! It gets pretty empty a short walk to enjoy nature, bird watch and see deer!! Just a fair warning… please be careful taking your dogs here during the summer. There is ALOT of ticks during this time. Every time I bring my dog he is covered in ticks by the end of our walk.
Trail conditions & character
“Google maps led us to the animal clinic and we had to find the dog trail to the park which was below the parking lot at edge of the woods.”
“The park's name, Riverwalk Park, is totally justified as you can take a leisurely walk on the bridge while enjoying views of the Dupage River on either side.”
