Confirmed from Plainfield Township Trail - Belfast Junction Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Gentle climb up Blue Mtn toward W Pen Argyle and Wind Gap. Paved or well packed gravel until last mile where it gets steeper and loose gravel. Center of Slate mining. see pics of house with slate shingles and piles of slate

★★★★★ — Chris , Jun 2022

Almost level Trail very well-maintained mostly asphalt. Good selection of porta potties along the Route just in case. It crosses many roads and you have to be careful because the brush blocks the traffic if you slow down and stop you'll be able to see just fine

★★★★★ — Brendan , Jun 2021

Great out and back trail for walk, run or bike...or dog walk too. Flat, semi-paved but does have a lot of road crossings. Marked every .25 mile, total distance can be 7+mile from end to end.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
