Confirmed from Henry's Woods Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful park boasting trails for hiking, biking and walking, plus picnic tables.
What runners say about Henry's Woods Trailhead
“The trail is wonderfully maintained, offering stunning scenery and a mix of woodlands and creek views.”
“The area is lush and beautiful with plenty of well marked trails.”
“It's one of my favorite spots to soak in the outdoors and enjoy a peaceful walk.”
Various trails through Jacobsburg State Park which are suitable for adults, children and dogs. The pictures I posted were taken on a mild day in February. Children and dogs enjoy going in the water in the summer months.
Very peaceful trail to walk along the Bushkill Creek. Plenty of creek access, very good trails. Restrooms at the entrance of Henry’s Wood Trail just over the bridge from the parking lot. Dogs allowed on leash with tie off station at restrooms. Parking lot is a decent size, plenty of spaces.
Always nice to visit. Close to Allentown Bethlehem and Easton. Lots of trails.
Been going here since I was a kid. Easy flat trail if you start from the restrooms. If you start for the opposite side of the loop, it is a bit more of a hike and can be treacherous when wet (roots, loose rocks). Photo is from that side of the loop.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
