Confirmed from Pohick Stream Valley-Burke VRE Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Level, paved path, also great for biking, along a stream and a railroad, with several stepped creek crossings.
What runners say about Pohick Stream Valley-Burke VRE Trail
“Loved this hike as it was fairly quiet yet had great views.”
Just moved to area and trying out trails in the area. Our first time with this one was great! We headed south from this starting point and went for about 1.5 miles and then doubled back. Pros: good amount of parking at the start. Paved throughout which means it is stroller friendly! The kiddo was a happy camper!
I enjoyed the dancing bees and flowers that popped up along this trail. It's near a train track with electric poles that line a portion of it. The path with water was a pleasant discovery that brought out the kid in me as I hopped across. I love Earth and her endless beauty.
Short but worth checking out. Paved road conditions can be maintained a bit better but the scenery is amazing.
I loved my walk/hike here today. Awesome spot to walk the dog. Im also pregnant and see this as being a great place with a stroller. Would also be fabulous for bikes. Love that it's paved and the train goes by. I can't wait to go back!
