We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Point Beach State Park Lodge yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Point Beach State Park Lodge

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (247 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Good sized, shaded campsites, nice clean facilities, the beach is really great, and the dog beach is so good, and one of the few state campground dog beaches in Wisconsin.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“It also has some of the great views of Lake Michigan you hope to see, it will not disappoint!”

I checked it out a while back, hoping to see the northern lights. It was dark, so it was hard to tell how the beach area was, but from what I could see, it was a nice area. I recommend checking it out. Oh, and I did get to see the northern lights. It was absolutely beautiful.

We had a fantastic Sunday breakfast while camping. You order at the counter and they deliver to the table inside. We enjoyed the Triver's Omelette and Meat lover skillet. We did not leave hungry. We also enjoyed yummy ice cream after a 10 mile bike ride on Saturday.

Camping was great. Listening to the waves crashing and the crackling of the fire was amazing. Beautiful beach for walking and relaxing.

★★★★★ — Renae , Oct 2025

We absolutely love going to Point Beach State Park and this place is one of our absolute favorites. The park is clean and well maintained and there is so much to do here. Everything from bike riding to walk in the beach to having a picnic. The place is peaceful and would it be considered one of my favorite getaways.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
