This place is beautiful! The panoramic views of the Mississippi Sound, the sound and sights of pelicans, herrings and seagulls with a very nice walking trail, picnic tables and an open air amphitheater make this a great place to enjoy nature. The walkway continues all the way down Beach Blvd.
Did our annual LaPointe Krebs House and Museum lime-rick burn there again this year. The park is beautiful and is a great place to enjoy the gulf scenery, fish, put a boat in, walk, or in our case do a public exhibition of how to make quick lime from oyster shells.
I came here to get a 5 mile run in and it has a beautiful beach front with lots of sand. It's 5 miles from Pointe Park to the end of the sidewalk and back. The sidewalk follows the beach with lots of historical facts along the way.
What a nice place to unwind. They have really worked to enhance this area from what I remember as a kid, it's beautiful. A great place to fish, walk or just relax in your car. Take your lunch and just hang out or explore. You'll really enjoy it.
