Confirmed from Point Pleasant Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Point Pleasant Community Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (36 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful spot to just relax, take a walk or just hang out.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The turtle sculptures, the Native American statue, and the peaceful waters”

Fantastic, it's never crowed, never, often times I find that I or the people I am with are the only ones there and the trails, (a higher one and a lower one , that merge eventually) are well maintained for the kind of place or is.

Take a walk along Chief Running Deer Trail and enjoy the views of Tohickon Creek you won't regret it.

★★★★★ — Kenneth , Dec 2020

The trail was absolutely wonderful. Hand laid stone to create a natural looking, safe trail on the slope. Great variety of trees in the forest. Christmas ferns in abundance. Unfortunately the trail passes through a section of private land and now blocked off. Probably shortened trail by half.

Beautiful spot to just relax, take a walk or just hang out. Around the corner is a great Tubing n canoe place where for a minimal fee you can go between 2 n 3 hours on the Delaware...

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
