“Beautiful area of Starved Rock Park.”
I love this place. Great to clear the mind and be one with nature. Owls, other birds, tons of fuzzy caterpillars, vultures, eagles, snakes, centipedes, frogs. Plenty of trail markers along the way. Wear comfy shoes and bring plenty of water if visiting during summer days. Canyons were dry but it was still a great hike.
A hidden local treasure this Starved Rock park full of superb groomed trails maintained for safety. Huge crowds during active weekends mean these side trails are a good choice and a wonderful natural experience. Just driving through the park is a sight to behold.
Amazing place. Your shoes might get wet walking to it but it's worth it. Great location for photos.
I plan to head back for more exploring. kids 5and up suggested to come here.i seen lots of miserable parents with toddlers. This is why i waited to make this trip with my family. lots of stairs and hiking. My kids enjoyed the views and great outdoors.dont wear nice shoes eaither.
