Confirmed from Poor Farm Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Poor Farm Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (471 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“The fields were well maintained and the layout of the four fields was nice so that you could really enjoy the action on all 4 fields if you wanted to.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Nice park with great Scenic views and a beautiful Creek 😍 around the trails 😊”

It's magical in here. I don't mountain bike, but love a good rugged hike. It's a refreshingly natural trail system with a creek running through, vibrant moss, colorful mushrooms, industrious spiders, and an impressive amphitheater. On a Sunday morning we encountered only 2 others on the trails.

I was pleasantly surprised by the rolling terrain and narrow, earthen trails of Poor Farm Park outside of Ashland. These trails wind through the woods & along a shallow creek.

Great scenic trails!!! Lovely creek to walk by. Playground for the kiddos. Porta potties on site. Easy to find. Multiple trails. Fields for sports. Lots of parking.

Lots of trails several geochaches and multiple different sports fields. Playground is fairly small however the kids liked it

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 5 mentions

“Great facilities for bbqs/cookouts, excellent trails, ravine views, dog friendly, low key park.”
