Confirmed from Port Washington South Beach Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakefront beach spot with soft sand, shallow, clear water and an alerting system for riptides.
What runners say about Port Washington South Beach Park
“In the shadow of a large electric plant but it is very clean and almost silent while I was here.”
“South Beach is a small but beautiful beach in the small city of Port Washington, Wisconsin, USA.”
Great place for family time and walking on the beach! Bring you dog too, however please be responsible and pick up dog droppings and dispose of bags in receptacles provided at beach entrance.
It was an excellent sand beach here close to parking. It has a porta-potty here and it's not very well maintained. But if you go just quarter-mile North there's a nice beach house there with regular flush toilets.
Nice sandy beach but parking is definitely an issue on a busy day. We lucked out but be prepared to walk if the lot is full.
