Confirmed from Porter Way Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Porter Way Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (312 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Fun play equipment, a large covered pavilion, plenty of sports areas, and a beautiful winding stream and path to follow all the way back to Stansbury Lake.”

This park is beautiful. Lots of space for kids to run around.. there's even a nice doggie park for your fur babies to play as well. The equipment is fun and interesting. There's a couple of pathways you can push your stroller or wagons around on and it's just a nice place for your whole family to enjoy.

Our favorite Park in Stansbury so far. Fun play equipment, a large covered pavilion, plenty of sports areas, and a beautiful winding stream and path to follow all the way back to Stansbury Lake.

★★★★★ — Stephanie , Nov 2021

Best park in Stansbury Park. On the north side, it has a playground, Frisbee golf course, restrooms, pavilion with tables, tennis court close to the playground, benches by the playground and periodically throughout the walking trails, a small stream by the baseball field, and large spaces of open grass for soccer.

This is one of the best parks in Tooele County. Nice walking trails, a tennis court and Frisbee Golf for adults and an impressive playground for the kids. The main con and reason for docking a star is because their pest control the seriously lacking. There are tons ants and Mosquitoes here.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
