We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Wigwam Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wigwam Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (19 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“This is a beautiful park with a TON of potential and you can see all of the work that the City is putting in.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“The trail is well marked and easy to follow.”

A brand new pavilion with flushing toilets. Landscaping looked like it was in progress. There is a trailhead at the southeast end of this park. The trail goes just over 4 miles up into the hills on the north side of the canyon. The trail is well marked and easy to follow.

We had a scout day camp here, and the location is ideal. Lots of room for outdoor activities, hiking nearby, and we even had a couple of deer stop in to check it out too.

★★★★★ — Micah , Jun 2017

This is a beautiful park with a TON of potential and you can see all of the work that the City is putting in. The plans are in motion and it is visible, but not so visible that it hurts the park - this park is still absolutely worth your time while they continue to improve on it.

★★★★☆ — Sabrina , May 2026

This is a really great place for scouting. Someone vandalized the building but we just did all of the activities outside. We had an amazing flag retiring ceremony. We looked at the stars with telescopes, we did a 5 mile hike, learned how to set up tents, and learned a lot of scout stuff like how to tie knots.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
