Spent the weekend here digging clams and oysters, they are just so fresh and good! We brought all the gears we need for picnic: fry pan, camping chairs, cooler for bears. In terms of parking, we arrived around 12:00 and no parking right beside the beach.
We camped at Potlatch State Park for a weekend and had a fantastic time! The campground was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with easy access to both the forest and the water. The sites offered a good mix of privacy and space, and the park staff were friendly and helpful.
Really lovely park with a long coastline and lots of trees to find shade under. Fun to watch people oyster hunting. Grabbed a lemonade in town and came and walked by the water for a bit. Lots of sea life.
Modest day use area on 101 just South of Hoodsport. Ample parking, nice spot to take the dog for a walk and look for rock treasures. Found plenty of moon rocks, small agates and even some jade types.
