Confirmed from Pracht Wetlands Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature park with boardwalks, bridges, and wildlife, including American lotus.
What runners say about Pracht Wetlands Park
“We went in the spring when things were starting to bloom & it was gorgeous!”
“It was very peaceful when we went & a good way to get out of the city for a little bit!”
Great for a wildlife photographer or nature lover to walk and observe. Its location is not ideal for some species of wildlife, but there are still some great animals and birds there.
This is a really nice place to get out and walk around. It's not all that big, but there is a place to park your bikes and get off. Enjoy a nice stroll. It is really close to a hotel that has a path for walking down to.It would be great for the hotel visitors.
What a splash of nature in the city! My family loved walking the boardwalk and watching the wildlife in it's protected habitat. We saw 3 blue herons, one egret, and a turtle. The American lotus growing was amazing. They are just about to bloom. It was awesome!
Super pretty spot in Wichita. We went in the spring when things were starting to bloom & it was gorgeous! More places to walk than just the bridges too. It was very peaceful when we went & a good way to get out of the city for a little bit!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
