We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Prairie Duneland Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Prairie Duneland Trailhead
I personally prefer this trail for bike riding. If you start at the airport road parking and go west, you can go a couple miles nonstop before any road crossings, and then a couple more before you hit hobart. There are tunnels under the two major roads It crosses, willow creek road and highway 6.
A beautiful trail for hiking and biking. Weekdays are not usually crowded. Try eating outside at Tate’s when you finish your ride.
Nice trail. Not completely flat, there are some inclines. The trail is wide enough for three people to walk or run side by side. It’s a paved trail that many people enjoy cycling, running and walking.
