Confirmed from Prairie Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Prairie Trailhead
“The playground sits amongst the shade of many old Burr Oak trees.”
Very nice place to start your morning run ,located in Towne Park in downtown Algonquin. Plenty of parking and very safe place.
Great parking spot when going on a bike trail ride. From this lcoation - you have easy access to the bike trail and can go north or south. The trail itself is very long and can provide an all day experience. Parking is plentifull.
Excellent access to the Prairie Trail. It is located in Towne Park. The entrance is located at the end of Washington St., two blocks west of Main St.; this is not clear on Google Maps.
Great park. My daughter loves the variety and there is lots of shade. We also meet for group runs here with access to the prairie trail
