Confirmed from Prairie View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

PavedWater

Paved, friendly park with two playground setups (one for tots and the other for kids), as well as a walking and biking trail.

What runners say about Prairie View Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (76 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

One of the best parks in the southwest burbs. It is secluded and a bit hard to get to, but it's worth it. There is a play area for tots and one for bigger kids with taller slides that are almost 2 stories tall. There is a beautiful walking/bike paved path around the small man made lake.

★★★★☆ — Andrew , Jun 2016

My Grandma and My Aunt and my Siblings Used To Come Here To hang Out And Talk Slides Were So Fun And They Also Have Swings and A lot More Stuff Even A Little Park and Big Park for younger Kids To little Older Kids They Also have a large Path That you can Jog or walk your dog-cat on . With a lake-pound Near it.

★★★★★ — Shadow , Mar 2022

It's a pretty quiet place, besides the highway noise. But secluded nonetheless. Equipment is in pretty good shape and a nice place to walk your dog too

★★★★☆ — Brian , Feb 2020

Great place to bring the kids. Different play areas for different ages. Theirs a good walking path.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
