Confirmed from Pratt's Brook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside park, featuring miles of woodland trails and a popular disc golf course.
What runners say about Pratt's Brook Park
“The wooded trails are wide and well maintained with bridges over the brook.”
“Plenty of trails that you can unleash your dog on and let them have their fun while you take in the beautiful scenery”
“The scenery is beautiful and it's the perfect place to take a dog for a run or just to go and enjoy nature.”
“Expect to encounter off-leash dogs, they are permitted under voice command once they're 100 yards from the parking areas and the trails are popular with hikers and dog walkers.”
Dog walkers paradise. Once in park your pup can go off lease. We were early ones and had the park nearly to ourselves. It was rare to see my dog run around so much on her own. The creeks that run through much of the park added to the entertainment. We've only begun to find all the trails.
A nice spot to walk and trail run year round, and xx ski and snowshoe in the winter. As of 8/28/2017, well behaved dogs under voice control are welcome off leash! But please pick up after them because word around town is there's interest in ending off leash option.
What a great place to let your dogs run free. Plenty of trails that you can unleash your dog on and let them have their fun while you take in the beautiful scenery
This is one of my favorite hiking spots! Trails by the water, nice and secluded... lots to love. Not stroller friendly.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
