Confirmed from Prentiss Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions
🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Dog friendly people go there to walk their animals.”

I'm obsessed with this trail. It's short enough for me to get through on mornings I need to be quick and long enough for me to explore when I want to take my time. My pup sure loves it there, I think we take turns exploring when we're there though. Lol

★★★★★ — Misty , Oct 2024

Great place to walk with lots of intertwining trails. We were surprised at the number of uprooted trees there.

★★★★★ — Lisa , Jul 2024

If you have time for a quick walk or run, stop here. The trails are not marked well, but the beaten path is easy to follow. Must have been hit hard the past two winters, because many trees were uprooted or broken down.

Love walking the trails, its a great place to take a short walk in the middle of the city. Lots of chipmunks 🐿

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
