Confirmed from Pretoria Station Trailhead: Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks & Recreation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Pretoria Station Trailhead: Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks & Recreation

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (22 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“A well-maintained trailhead with clean bathrooms, seating and picnic tables,”

This is a great trail for a nice easy walk. Restrooms are pretty clean and the path is clear. Definitely not a nature trail on this end, but a nice trail non the less! A great option when it isn’t too hot as there aren’t many trees to cover the path. Great views of farm land or warm up with the sunshine on a cool day.

The walking trail is great, but we especially love this area. You can park here to walk, but there are also picnic tables out in the grass that are perfect for a nice outdoor lunch.

★★★★★ — Meagan , Dec 2020

Really good place to relax. With many possibilities from family picnics, to family walks, to even chilling in hammocks.

★★★★★ — Punkin , Oct 2021

Well maintained >2.5mi trail along a quiet road. Popular but not congested due to the width of the trail. Saw about 50 people during a weekday evening over the course of 5 miles (2.5 each way), but it did not feel crowded. One or two gentle hills but otherwise flat.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
