Confirmed from Shelby Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pond and fountain-filled neighborhood park, frequented by ducks, geese and bench swings overlooking the water..
What runners say about Shelby Park
“It is well kept up with and clean as well.”
“Small beautiful park with fountain in pond with geese, lots of birds and squirrels.”
“Nice quiet place to stop and observe nature nestled in an established neighborhood.”
This cute little park is a great place to get away (but not too far) and have some lunch or just a little time in nature. It is just big enough to enjoy an hour or two enjoying the ducks, geese and turtles that live here.
Nice quiet place to stop and observe nature nestled in an established neighborhood. Usually a breeze even on a hot summer day with the shade and swings placed strategically around the pond to enjoy the view of the fountain and wildlife.
Peaceful!!! Swings, picnic tables, benches, a bridge, & lovely ducks, geese, & turtles. There's also sidewalk for walking around the pond.
I love taking my dog here to walk and sniff around. Great place for a picnic too. I've lived in Statesboro for most of my life and just learned this place existed a couple years back.
