Confirmed from The S&S Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved trail meandering past wetlands and woods for walking, running, and biking.
What runners say about The S&S Greenway
“Peaceful walk until you come up on the Olive Garden area where it's kind of loud in whatever building is there and smells kinda funky.”
Walk or bike the path of the old railroad. Information boards provide some history of the county related to industry and the railway, and about nature in the area. Markers indicate each .25 mile.
It was super rainy and I got soaked but still a nice little walk. Saw some swamp-like areas with cyprus, deer, mushrooms, and greenery. Peaceful walk until you come up on the Olive Garden area where it's kind of loud in whatever building is there and smells kinda funky.
I enjoy this old Rail ❘❙𝕝X𝕝❙❘ Road bed of a trail. It keeps me in good shape for when I go 𝙊𝙛𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡, in the mountains, National Parks, and W.M.A.'s. There is what's left of a small creek that runs down at the Statesboro end of the trail, I enjoy seeing the wildlife in that area.
Oh this was a treat! I enjoyed the walking trail so much. Everyone I passed was friendly with a smile. I walked two miles today! The restrooms were clean and I felt comfortable inside.
