Confirmed from Putah Creek South Fork Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Nothing extravagant, but a charming peaceful spot of a rather arid landscape; out of state visitors would surely appreciate it (I'm sure locals are enjoying it too).”

beautiful area. swimming and jogging is spot on. plus you can pick and eat wild blackberries

★★★★★ — Nfr , Aug 2024

Very nice one hour walk. Bees heaven. New observation desk with amazing view of the creek. But no bikes racks in the parking lot, really Davis?

★★★★★ — Andre , May 2022

Pleasant natural area to walk and see wildlife, especially birds. It gets hot in the summer, however, as there is very little shade. Dogs, and bikes are not allowed. Parking is free.

★★★★☆ — Matt , Feb 2020

Lots of bees out this morning, but a very nice, quiet area for a nice long walk, including a few Geocaches to find.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 10 mentions

“regularly maintained gravel trail is mostly wheelchair friendly, the accessibility trail ends in a very pretty porch overlooking the creek.”
