Confirmed from Rancho San Vicente Open Space Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve offering trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
What runners say about Rancho San Vicente Open Space Preserve
“Beautiful hike with moderate hills on the blue traisl.”
Great little park with amazing views. Best if your hike time is limited. Total trail length is like 3 miles, but it is connected to Calero park, which has tens of miles of trails.
I'm a new rider to the electric unicycle .I've been here on a bicycle, and I thought the trails were good. so my friend thought I should bring the EUC. We did a short ride, thankfully. I will return for a longer ride as my skills improve.
Gently graded trails going through a variety of landscapes such as green meadows, oak forests and Calero Reservoir shoreline. Also, a great variety of wildflowers.
Rancho San Vicente Open Space Preserve is a great preserve to go hiking or mountain biking at. There is a mix of single track and fire roads. The loop trail is a great trail to ride or hike and offers views of the surrounding landscape and lake, but has a fairly mellow climb in elevation.
