Confirmed from Oak Cove Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Oak Cove Trail
Oak Cove trail was very nice. A lot less traffic than the mtb heavy trails near the reservoir. Great views.
Very nice hiking place. Offers different options (medium to tough hike to the top of the hill or an easy hike around the hill - both have nice views.) The portable bath rooms are clean, with water, hand soap and paper towels outside.
Just one of the most enjoyable trails to hike with family. There were some steep slope to climb. However, all the green grass, trees, and flowers make the hike so worth the energy and time.
This is a really level trail after the first half mile which has several short steep pitches. If you go out and back, then you’ll finish with those pitches too :)

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
