Confirmed from Reach 11 Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Equestrians, hikers & dog-walkers frequent this simple desert park with a trail.
What runners say about Reach 11 Recreation Area
“Great place for walking leashed dogs and for young children to experience our beautiful desert without having to take a day trip or much preparation.”
“Overall nice peaceful place has a covered bench, but no water or bathroom.”
“Reach 11 Recreation Area features extensive multi-use trails, desert scenery, and sports fields—ideal for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and family-friendly outdoor activities.”
“The dog loves romping around the place though.”
Super nice and quiet trail in the middle of town. Very close to freeways and Desert Ridge which is perfect for plans to eat after a beautiful long easy going walk. Came here on a whim and it was a great spot to have a leisurely stroll out in nature. We enjoyed the clear skies and warm sunshine on our skin.
I am six months into being an above the knee amputee. The trails are everything! I am still on crutches so trails with elevation are a no go. This trail made it easy for me to walk with my Beastly (microprocessor leg)and learn to use it. I went with a friend and really enjoyed it.
Less people when I went at 2pm which was nice. Trails were flat so I was able to read a book while I walked the entire trail. Only dislike is the horse and dog poop frequent on the trail.
This is a wonderful park to walk in. Follow the path and you end up at a small lake. Take time to sit and be quiet to listen for and watch the birds. We saw many hummingbirds, one cardinal and other assorted birds. You will be sharing the park with people with dogs, on bikes and horses.
Trail conditions & character
“Single negative is there's lots of dog poop left on the side of parts of the trail by less considerate dog owners, which our own dog is unfortunately prone to sample.”
“Easy walk, run, bike, horseback area Beautiful scenery Lots of wildlife Easy terrain Not much elevation”
“I hesitate to share this review since what we like most about it is how uncrowded it is.”

“I am an avid runner and enjoy the easy, flat paths that can easily turn into a long run if planned!”
