Confirmed from Red Arroyo Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Red Arroyo Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (7 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Red Arroyo Trail is a bike, hike, walking trail. It is a completely concrete path(s) that follow the red arroyo creek between sherwood way and knickerbocker rd. The paths also connect to the neighborhoods in between. It is wide enough for several bikes, joggers, or walkers to occupy the path at the same time.

★★★★★ — Eli , Mar 2018

It would be nice if we had a trail like this in my hometown. Nice concrete path to run, roller blade, bike, or walk. Convenient to a number of hotels as well. Nice way to break up a day of travel.

★★★★★ — Jon , Jun 2024

Well maintained trail, wide enough for running and biking. Would be nice to have some more trees along the trail but if you go early enough in the morning it's cool

★★★★★ — Erik , May 2019

Really nice trail with winding wide spaces. Cuts through the heart of the west side of town and is a pleasure to walk on when I visit family.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
