Confirmed from Red Brook Metropark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park good for walks and runs with kid-friendly hiking.
What runners say about Red Brook Metropark
“Beautiful area but a lot of up-and-down walking wish it was still a golf course”
Nice long hiking paths was a great nature walk down to the creek where I caught a steelhead.
A beautiful area, especially in spring! It has an inner path and an outer path which is about 4 miles I believe. Not 100% on that but I believe it's around that for the outer path. And I've taken my border Collie there multiple times now and we have met some of the nicest people and their pets as well.
Pretty well maintained trails in a used-to-be golf course. Trails are both paved and dirt/grass and can get muddy easily when near the brook.
Very well maintained trails with beautiful views. The new paved trails are great, but check out the trails behind Martini’s too.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
