Confirmed from Walnut Beach Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Walnut Beach Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,651 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 13 mentions

“The beach is clean with the exception of some very interesting pieces of driftwood that was intensionally left for aesthetics.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“It wasnt too loud but it makes beautiful sounds and it was such a great idea to include for the kids (and I) to play with.”

Came back and visited again...a couple times this month actually. They added a very cool new playground for the handicapped. I would have gotten pictures but I was having so much fun with my son checking out all of the new equipment that I didn't stop to snap any. Take my word for it though and go check it out!

I spend at least 1 day a week during the spring/summer months at Walnut beach walking the beach & looking for beach glass. Friends & I try to spend a 3 to 7 day mini vacation every summer. Everyone is friendly, I've ran into several couples who return every year from different states who come here to vacation.

What an awesome place to go! Finished my race here on the beach and it was very clean and a safe place for everyone. There is a large parking lot, picnic area and bathrooms so you won't need to leave for anything. I wish I could have stayed longer to walk the area.

I love walking laps with my Cerberus, Sophia, thru the sand and grass. Gorgeous views very clean, just need the cans emptied more often with a lot of people being there.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
