It was my first time going to this park and I thought it was really great. It has really nice Hiking trails both easy and more difficult. It was wintertime when I went, but it was obvious that it was a great place to go swimming and hang out during the summer.
This is my most loved hiking spot with my dog. Absolutely love taking her hiking here! It’s beautiful during the cooler fall months where the leaves change colors and the views are gorgeous with plenty of overhanging shade and lush scenery.
We had a great experience at Red Top Mountain State Park! It’s a perfect getaway for anyone looking to enjoy nature without going too far from the city. The trails are well-maintained and offer beautiful views of Lake Allatoona, making it ideal for hiking, relaxing walks, or even a peaceful picnic.
I cut through the homestead trail from the visitor center parking lot and covered the loop of about 4 miles. The part of the trail that runs beside the lake is extremely beautiful and has a few good spots to enjoy the view of the lake. The trails are well marked and they also hand you with a map for navigation.
