Confirmed from Riverside Day Use Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Charming park abutting a 164-mile waterway featuring a playground, walking trails & boating access.
What runners say about Riverside Day Use Area
“Beautiful and clean area, gorgeous scenery”
“00 per car for day use, great views, nice place with a huge space with tables, bbq area and bathrooms.”
Great little park. Cost $5 to park. Includes several pavilions and picnic tables for birthday parties and picnics. The park has a the beautiful Etowah River running beside the whole park. The ablations dam is just upstream from the park. The water comes from the bottom of the lake making the water ice cold year around.
We did the hiking trails. Just WOW!!!!! It's absolutely beautiful with the stream and ferns. The trail was a challenge too. My girls and myself love a challenge 🤩🤩. We only saw a few other hikers and of course they were friendly. Once we were done we dipped our feet in the River to cool off.
The trail off of the park is very changeling. It doesn’t have a great view but if you want to build endurance for hiking it’s a great trail
Great place to hike, disc golf and fish. Exceptional park attendant. Great guy.
