We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Reeds Lake Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Absolutely gorgeous and such a peaceful little evening walk! We go here all the time and it’s so awesome to see the rain gardens, wildflowers, water, and wildlife such as deer that roam the area! Definitely would recommend if you can!

Beautiful trail along Reeds Lake and an amazing place for a walk/run/photo taking. I love coming here and it is such a peaceful area in Grand Rapids. Great activity after or before spending time in Gaslight Villiage. It is also very clean and well maintained

It’s close by it’s beautiful sometimes I get up early in the morning because the way the benches sit at the end of the dock you can watch the sunrise. A lot of wildlife great for pictures. I use for my TikTok walk in natures.

This is my favorite paved trail in the city. It's about 4 miles around the lake, mostly through neighborhoods. Very well marked. Great for walkers, dog walkers, runners, and families on bikes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
