Confirmed from Manhattan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Manhattan Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (290 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Really lovely park just renovated in 2025 with beautiful playground, lots of shade, covered area for eating, bathrooms, sand volleyball, pickleball, splash pad and sports fields.”

Nice little park with several fields (baseball & soccer) on one side, and an outdoor park and volleyball court on the other. There are two parking lots, one for each side, so be sure to map to the correct one.

★★★★★ — Nick , Jun 2019

Extremely nice park with ample parking and plenty of outdoor activities for adults, teenagers, and the little ones. Manhattan Park has volleyball nets, tennis courts, etc. for sports.

★★★★★ — Janice , Sep 2023

1. Riverside Views - Overlooks the East River with beautiful skyline views - Great for sunrise/sunset walks 2. Playgrounds & Recreation - Kid-friendly playgrounds and open spaces - Basketball courts and seasonal pool access nearby 3.

★★★★★ — Liam , Oct 2025

This a great place to take the kids. The playground has a lot of fun options. There is a lot of green space to run around. The splash pad is nice to cool off for all ages. Though it is really geared for younger kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 10 mentions

“Only complaint is that google directions took me to the sports fields and it wasn’t clear that there was another parking lot closer to the playground.”
