We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Renton Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Renton Park
This is a great park to take a walk through. It's a bit hilly in places and other areas are flat. It's quiet and a great place to bring your significant other, your children, and your pets. A full walk through all parts of it is about two or so miles.
I really enjoyed this short walk through a heavily-forested greenbelt. The trail is in excellent shape. This was a nice “warm-up” walk before hitting some longer trails in the area. Definitely worth a visit and should be in good shape year-round.
This is a nice wooded park in central Renton. It is next to a school and also has trail access to a track that can be used during nonschool hours. It is a well groomed trail and suprisingly expansive.
Very nice quiet park. There was no one else on the trail. Took my 4 kids and my dog.
Trail conditions & character
“The parking at both locations is in a neighborhood so you might have to park down the street a little depending on how busy the park might be.”
“Not too steep, plenty of small branching trails, one of the best natural trails in the area I believe.”
