“Trail was absolutely beautiful and you're right by the river.”
This is a wonderful place to go for a nice walk, run or bicycle ride. 20 miles of path before you. Great for taking a walk to destress. I even saw a wild kitty cat! There's also a sweet dog park with a doggy playground. Someday I'll make the trek of experiencing the entire trail!
Beautiful and well kept natural area! I love how you can see the river through the metal grate bridge. I stopped by in the spring and it was just teeming with life. I would not recommend hiking uphill on the muddy trails after it has just rained, but I did anyway and caught a glimpse of what looked to be a cougar.
Maplewood Roadside Park is a nice park. A nice bridge to walk on along the Cedar River Trail. Easy good access to Cedar River. A good trail from near the parking lot and the trail goes to Cedar River Trail. And you can walk across the Cedar River on a bridge on Cedar River Trail.
Nice place to have a picnic or have a brief stop next to the Cedar River. I think this "roadside" park name says it all -- it's next to a road, the Maple Valley Highway. The gravel parking lot appears to be a park-n-ride area at first, as you could probably park here, leave your car, and return at the end of the day.
