Confirmed from Rice Pinnacle Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Rice Pinnacle Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (105 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Would totally recommend a visit even now in winter, although Fall or Spring are so much more beautiful.”

I love this place. I cant wait to get back. Watch out for bears though. If you see one with a small white patch above his eye run. He slept with my sister and never called again.

★★★★★ — Josh , Jun 2019

My husband loves this trail head. I like it's convenience to shopping.

★★★★★ — Martha , Jul 2023

Many great rides and hikes begin from this parking lot. Parking here on busy days or busy times on any day has become a challenge since covid. Get here at a good time and parking is easy. It's still my preferred starting spot for biking.

★★★★★ — David , Mar 2022

There are various hikes initiating from this area, suitable for hiking, mountain biking and walking the dogs. Would totally recommend a visit even now in winter, although Fall or Spring are so much more beautiful. Ample parking space and restroom.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
