Confirmed from Ritter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kids park with a playground offering swings and slides.
What runners say about Ritter Park
“Very nice and clean park with lots of playground equipment for the younger kids.”
“Lots of varied activities for all ages.”
The school playground here is cool. There is a medium playground with a rubber mat below to ensure safety of children falling off the equipment. There is a swing set area, basketball court and a grassy area for a dog to run in. There is also a paved sidewalk around the area to walk or ride a bicycle on.
Very nice and clean park with lots of playground equipment for the younger kids. Not so much a dog walking park or a nature centric park, but a great spot to take kiddos to let them run free on equipment.
Trail conditions & character
“There is also a paved sidewalk around the area to walk or ride a bicycle on.”
“Playground is handicapped accessible but not have handicapped oriented.”

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
