Confirmed from Riverbend Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverbend Natural Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (58 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“A beautiful trail complete with lots of picnic pavillions for gathering.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“Awesome place for mountain biking or hiking/jogging through serene trails”

Walk, bike, ski and run. I have done all here and it's always enjoyable. Trails of every sort except pavement. There are wide main trails and narrow single tracks. You can stay flat or play on some decent little hills. Lots of wildlife and some beautiful river views.

I like riding the trail developed by the Mid Michigan mountain bike Association. It's the right amount of challenge and strenuous effort for me.

★★★★★ — Wendell , Oct 2019

Park with hiking, biking, and skiing trails. From Riverbend you can easily travel North to Burchfield or south to McNamara landing. For mountain biking, this is where I usually get on the trail.

★★★★★ — Gary , Nov 2016

Sweet disc golf courses and mountain bike trails. The staff really do a great job of maintaining and enhancing this park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
