Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It was fun and clean, but there was a strong tide.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“When you can get past all those limitations, it's a rocky beach, but it's the Clackamas river, and it's cold generally, with gorgeous scenery all around.”

Nice hike around the island. They really have kept this a nice family friendly park.

★★★★★ — Terri , Apr 2022

Busy, primitive park, with dirt trails, one or two port a potties in parking lot, little to no security. A dumpster or two for garbage, which fills fast. When you can get past all those limitations, it's a rocky beach, but it's the Clackamas river, and it's cold generally, with gorgeous scenery all around.

Great place to take the fur baby and let him run around. Just watch out for all the broken glass...I try to pick up as much of it as I can when we walk thru but I'm afraid it's never ending.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
