Confirmed from Riverside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside park area featuring a gazebo, playgrounds, swings and a boat launch.
What runners say about Riverside Park
“Also swings and restrooms that were clean and open.”
“There are multiple playground areas, and some short but very picturesque trails along the river.”
Huge park along Looking Glass River that connects to two other parks by a short trail. The playground was updated in the summer of 2023 and is amazing. One structure was made for ages 5-12, and they also have a play structure for smaller kids, ages 2-5!
Lovely park right next to the Looking Glass River. There's a medium-size pavilion, a new and large playground next to the parking and a smaller, older playground, All kids playground, in the back. The city page says the second playground is a separate park but I didn't see a separation.
So I gotta say the trick or trail event was very fun and worth it line wasn't too bad but the weight was worth the line we waited in. Also kids got lots of goodies and they couldn't be happier they also got to play with other kids in like 4 months due to covid-19 so this was a blessing
Large playground next to the Looking Glass River with a small boat/kayak launch 🎣...Pavillion, grills and picnic tables available with two buildings for public restrooms 🚻....large field perfect for kite flying 🪁...walking trails with wild raspberries along the way 🚶🚶♀️🚶♀️
Trail conditions & character
“We unfortunately had to leave early because the bathrooms were not open and they should have been as we went right after school with let out.”
“One is wheelchair accessible with an area of swings that include two ADA swings.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
